The breeze-up sales are now in full swing and I was delighted to purchase two smart prospects from the Goffs UK sale in Doncaster this week. The first purchase was Lot 5 (photo below), a son of 1st season sire Hot Streak who cost £60,000. Not your typical Doncaster breeze-up horse as he has more size and scope than most but breezed very well and stood up an athletic and correct colt. He will be trained in Newmarket by Roger Varian.
The second purchase was Lot 70 a daughter of Zebedee and a more typical breeze-up horse who cost £24,000. This filly breezed very well and was quick on the clock – she looks every inch a 2-year-old and will be trained by Eve Johnson-Houghton.
Best of luck to both sets of connections. The breeze-up sales circuit continues and my next port of call will be the Arqana sale held in Deauville. Please do make contact if you are interested in purchasing.
