The final sale for me of 2018 was the Tattersalls December mare sale where I purchased 2 high-class mares on behalf of clients. The 1st purchase was Lot 1533 Goleta who is the dam of Group 3 winner Dibajj and Listed winner Black Sea. Sold in-foal to Iffraaj so carrying a full brother or sister to Dibajj, Goleta cost 210,000gns. The second purchase was Lot 1760 Westadora, a Listed placed daughter of Le Havre. Westadora was sold in-foal to Acclamation and cost 190,000gns. Both mares have gone to their owner’s stud farm in the UK and will be bred in 2019 with Goleta likely to visit Exceed And Excel and Westadora likely to visit Intello.
