Wednesday 6th April saw the start of the European Breeze-Up Season with the Ascot Sale and Richard Knight managed to purchase 2 colts on behalf of clients.
The first colt purchased was a son of 1st season sire Dragon Pulse who came from Willie Browne’s Mocklershill Stables in Ireland. The good looking chesnut colt breezed well despite the difficult conditions and came well recommended by his trainer. He cost £24,000 and will be trained by John Quinn.

The second colt purchased (and pictured below) was a son of proven sire Pastoral Pursuits. Another fine looking horse he is a full brother to a 2-year-old winner out of a mare who won 6 races. He breezed well and looks to be a sharp and early sort – fingers crossed he could be winning his 2-year-old maiden in just 3-4 weeks time. He cost £16,000 and will be trained by Ron Harris.
