£28,000 Class 2 handicap Won by €30,000 yearling purchase Ballard Down

Posted on 7 August 2017

Progressive gelding Ballard Down won his 3rd race from just 10 starts when winning the Class 2 handicap over 1 mile at Newmarket on Saturday 22nd July. The son of Champion Miler Canford Cliffs won £28,000 for the win and took his rating to 102 – not bad for a horse who cost just €30,000 as a yearling.

Congratulations to his owners Angmering Park Thoroughbreds and to his trainer William Knight.
