3 Exciting colts purchased from Goffs UK breeze-up sale

Posted on 19 April 2017

The Goffs UK breeze-up sale enjoyed a stellar year in 2016 so both purchasers & vendors alike were looking forward to this years sale and I was delighted to return with 3 exciting colts.

The first colt purchased was Lot 43 – a colt by the Coolmore 1st season stallion Most Improved. The strong, scopey colt breezed well and is from the family of Group 1 performers including Maraahel, Gutaifan & Ventura Storm. He cost £50,000 and will be trained by John Quinn.

The second colt purchased was Lot 109 – a colt by the very talented young sire Lope de Vega. Another, big & strong colt he breezed very well for a horse of his size and shape and looks an exciting prospect. He is from the family of Kingmambo, Miesque’s Son, Rumplestiltskin, Tapestry, Miesque, etc and had plenty of admirers in the ring. He cost £115,000 on behalf of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Malek Al-Sabah and will be trained by David O’Meara.

The third colt purchased was Lot 128 – a colt by proven sire Invincible Spirit. He is from a good Cheveley Park pedigree and this colt is closely related to European Champion 2yo filly Hooray. He came highly recommended and was purchased for £60,000 on behalf of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Malek Al-Sabah. He will be trained by David O’Meara.
