Richard Knight was delighted to come away from the Goffs Yearling Sales with 4 quality colts. With the stock on offer being of high quality it meant that trade was strong and it was tough to buy the yearlings earmarked for success.
The first colt Richard purchased was Lot 138 a Dream Ahead colt out of the Gr.3 winning Invincible Spirit mare Anam Allta. With 2 Champion 2yo’s on the page it was no surprise that this colt had his fans and he cost €65,000.
The 2nd purchase was Lot 379 an Approve colt out of the Pennekamp mare Miznapp who has produced 4 winners from 5 runners including the Listed placed Clean Bowled. He cost €47,000.
The 3rd purchase can from the Sportman Sale where Richard’s 2013 Listed winner Aussie Reigns came from. This colt was Lot 592 and was by Zebedee out of the Soviet Star mare Czars Princess. Czars Princess is dam of 1 winner from 1 runner viz Alaskan Bullet who was a 92 rated son of Kodiac. He cost €41,000.
The fourth and final purchase of the sale was Lot 684 a Canford Cliffs colt out of the Selkirk mare Mackenzie’s Friend. Mackenzie’s Friend is dam of 5 winners from 5 runners including Listed placed performer Sallen. He cost €30,000.
The Yearling Sales circuit now heads to Newmarket and the Tattersalls Books 1,2 & 3. The Book 1 Sales starts on Tuesday 7th October.
