6 National Hunt foals purchased from Tattersalls Ireland

Posted on 20 December 2018

Last year I was lucky enough to purchase my first National Hunt foals on behalf of clients with the purchase of a Flemensfirth colt and a Milan filly. Both of those have progressed well over the 12 months and look fantastic – the Flemensfirth colt is set to be a very popular 3-year-old when he comes to be re-sold.

This year I came home with 6 purchases and all will be raised, grazed and re-sold by Park Wood Stud based near Tetbury, Gloucestershire. The purchases included colts by Soldier Of Fortune (€13k), Walk In The Park (€24k), Shantou (€31k) and Sageburg (€28k) – the latter being a half-brother to 3x Grade 1 winner Yorkhill. The fillies were by Westerner (€2,500) & Sageburg (€6,000) with the latter being a sister to Grade 1 winner Shinrock Paddy.

If you are interested in purchasing a National Hunt horse of any age then please make contact as I would be delighted to help you find you next Cheltenham or Aintree winner.
