Molly Brown who was purchased as a mare by Richard Knight has another high-class prospect on her hands as her 2-year-old daughter Priceless won her 2-year-old maiden by 7 lengths on Friday on debut.
Richard Knight had been a fan of Molly Brown for many years and having purchased her son Brazen (purchased as a foal for 40,000gns and sold as a yearling for £80,000) managed to buy Molly Brown as a barren mare that same year. The clear mating plan for Richard Knight was to send Molly to Darley Stud’s Exceed And Excel and the resulting progeny was Priceless who sold for 70,000gns as a yearling to Clive Cox.
