The winners keep rolling in which is great news and Wednesday 28th June saw a double on the card at Bath as Fethiye Boy and Pixeleen both won.
Fethiye Boy was a £16,000 breeze-up purchase and he has now won 3 races and won more prize-money than his purchase price. He is a gelded son of Pastoral Pursuits and is very quick – he tends to make all over 5f and fast ground is his preference. He is owned by Ruth Serrell and trained by Ron Harris so Congratulations to both of them.
Pixeleen was making a quick return to the track having run 3rd in the Listed Cathedral Stakes at Salisbury and she made no mistake in taking the 5 1/2f sprint off a mark of 92. Another progeny of Pastoral Pursuits but this time a filly, I purchased Pixeleen as a yearling for £23,000 and she has now won over £45,000 in prize-money. As a 5yo and with a good commercial pedigree it will be likely that her owner & trainer Malcolm Saunders will try and win a Listed race with her before the end of the season. Well done to Malcolm and his team.
