First and foremost I hope that everyone reading this is safe and well and that your family and friends are also.
For me the lack of racing and sales has clearly been different but its business as usual in a lot of ways from the Racehorse Management perspective. Most of the horses are still in full training so invoices need to be checked, progress notes with photos and videos have never been more important and its also that great time of year where the current crop of 2yo’s are being named. There is also those clients with breeding stock and with that comes the foalings, the coverings, the mares not getting in-foal or the stallions not firing – there is plenty on and as always no two days are the same. My hope and aim is to keep my clients fully informed wherever they are in the World and all of us can’t wait to get back racing when lockdowns are lifted and the time is right – we have plenty of exciting prospects to look forward to for the season ahead.
From a sales perspective my calendar is full of crossings out and whilst we have been given new dates we are all well aware that these dates are subject to change and will only happen once lockdowns are lifted and racing resumes – but when we get the green light you can be sure that I will be in place to try and find you your next winner. The forthcoming breeze-up sales are seeing amalgamations of sales which should be a great idea – Ascot and the Craven breeze-up together and Goffs UK and Arqana together also. I have done plenty of research on these catalogues and so when the time comes I will be in a strong position to act.
From a National Hunt perspective the store sales will likely follow on from the breeze-up’s so if your interest is more Cheltenham than York then please do contact me as I would be delighted to help you in those sales.
