Tournelle made the perfect start to her racing career on 16th January when getting off the mark on her debut at Newcastle over 7f. The daughter of Sea The Moon was a 80,000gns foal purchase who we resold as a yearling 10 months later where she made 115,000gns in the prestigious October book 1 sale. Now owned by Australian racing syndicate OTI Racing, Tournelle travelled strongly in her race and quickened smartly to win by a comfortable 1 ¾ lengths under Billy Loughnane.
