Fact-finding Ireland Breeze-up trip taking shape

In the last week of March I am planning a trip to Ireland to see a large number of breeze-up sales consignors to try and get a heads-up on what horses they like and to gain an advantage on my purchasing rivals before the forthcoming sales.

At the moment the trip looks likely to consist of 12 of the largest Irish consignors including Willie Browne’s Mocklershill, Con Marnane’s Bansha House & Brendan Holland’s Grove Stud. The chance to see the horses and their trainers in their own environment and when they are not under pressure will allow me to gain a greater understanding on what is likely to be the best horses presented at the sales in April & May.

With this information stored I will use it as another piece of the breeze-up jigsaw which I will look to piece together once the horses have galloped, been timed, then inspected, etc. I did the same process last year and my shortlist’s for clients included Mehmas, Ardad, Prince Of Lir, Mokarris, Apex King and Rodaini.

If you are interested in purchasing at the forthcoming breeze-up sales please give me a call on +44 7769 349240 or email richard@richardknightbloodstockagent.com
