Foal Purchases making good progress . . .

I was in Ireland last week for the Goresbridge breeze-up sales but I went over 24 hours earlier than usual to go to Cooneen Stud and visit my clients mares, foals and yearlings which board with Gerry & Maura O’Sullevan who are based in Portroe near Nenagh, County Tipperary.

Within the stock were a number of foals I purchased last November and I was very happy with their progress. Most if not all of the foals will be offered for re-sale in the UK & IRE yearling sales and I think we have some smart prospects from both a profit & racing perspective – hopefully there is another Group 1 horse like Garswood or Bossy Guest amongst them – 100% of my foal purchases to date have either won or placed.

Pictured below is a Lethal Force colt who I purchased from the Tattersalls November foal sale for 32,000gns – he is very sharp looking and will head to the Goffs Orby yearling sale subject to being accepted.
