The European breeze-up sales season is now halfway through and I was delighted to purchase 4 exciting prospects from the Goffs UK sale with trainers John & Sean Quinn.
The first purchase was Lot 46 – a daughter of Slade Power who came from Longways Stables. This filly breezed fast and is closely related to multiple Group 1 winner Gordon Lord Byron. She cost £58,000 and is sold.
The second purchase was Lot 78 – a daughter of Heeraat from Star Bloodstock. Another early sort who breezed fast she is out of Listed placed 2yo filly Skylla from the family of Group 1 winner Hillstar. She also cost £58,000 and is sold.
The third purchase was Lot 120 – a son of Olympic Glory out of the dual winner Alzanti. This strong and impressive colt came from World renowned breeze-up consignor Mocklershill from whom I purchased 2 x black-type performers in 2017. He cost £48,000 and is sold.
The fourth purchase was Lot 126 – a son of first season sire Charm Spirit who stood for £20,000 in his first season at Stud. This colt was out of the dual winning In The Wings mare Aqraan who has also bred the multiple winner Cape Aqraan. This colt is one for the Summer and backend of the year and cost just £6,000 – we felt he was great value at that. He was purchased ‘on-spec’ and so is for sale if you are interested in purchasing.
The breeze-up sales season now moves onto Newmarket for the Guineas breeze-up sale 3-4 May and then its onto Arqana sale in Deauville 11-12 May. If you are interested in purchasing please make contact +44 7769 349240 or email [email protected]
