Goffs UK Premier yearling sale proved a tough place for many pinhookers but I was very happy with the sale of Lot 496 – Exceed And Excel filly out of Imperialistic Diva. The small but strong filly who I purchased for 16,000gns as a foal in November had received a very nice update in recent weeks when her full sister Queen Of Bermuda won at Listed level. This filly was very racy and described as a Queen by the team at Cooneen Stud who had prepared her for sale and she is sure to be aimed at a race like the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot for her new connections. The best news is that she gets to be trained by John & Sean Quinn on behalf of Signora Cabello connections, Phoenix Thoroughbreds.
