I was delighted to have a great pinhooking result in the Goffs UK Premier sale last week when a colt that I purchased for a client sold for £120,000 having been purchased for just 28,000gns as a foal. The son of Swiss Spirit had grown on well during the year and arrived in Doncaster looking fantastic having been expertly prepared for the sale by Cooneen Stud in Ireland. Swiss Spirit has made a decent start to his stud career and this colt was a great example of the type that he can throw and it was Angus Gold from Shadwell Stud who had the final bid. I wish Shadwell the very best of luck with him and hope he is a great success on the track like many of my other foal purchases which have included the Group 1 winner Garswood (purchased for 19,000gns as a foal).
