Happy New Year ! Here’s to a great 2018 to all . . .

Happy New Year to all ! 2017 was another great year for me and my clients led on the track by Group Winner Lady Macapa (yearling purchase) and Listed & Gr. 1 performer Beauly (foal purchase). Add to that the 2yo black-type performances by Model (breeze-up purchase), Lisheen Castle (breeze-up purchase) & Seaella (yearling purchase) and 2018 is set to be a very exciting year.

Other highlights in 2017 included the 7 wins by National Hunt purchase Golden Birthday who ended his season rated 140 over hurdles and 90 on the flat & Glorious Goodwood wins for El Astronaute (breeze-up purchase) and Shenanigans (Foal purchase). There was also the matings success of Group 2 winner Priceless and record breaking 500,000gns Tattersalls Book 2 filly by Exceed And Excel and the pinhooking success of a Swiss Spirit colt who I purchased for 28,000gns as a foal and sold for £120,000 as a yearling. In my Racing Manager roles the Group success of Frankuus stands out as does the black-type Deauville performance by 2-year-old Model.

My 2018 sales start with the Goffs UK January sale where I will be looking to purchase National Hunt yearlings with a view to re-selling as 3yo stores. Tattersalls Ireland November sale was the first time I purchased National Hunt foals and it was a great experience – I was delighted to come away with a very smart Flemensfirth colt and a very athletic Milan filly. After Doncaster January I will move onto Tattersalls February sale where there will be a number of yearlings and fillies/mares for sale. Similar will be the case in Goffs February sale which comes soon after where I will be looking to add to the foal pinhooks from Tattersalls December foal sale.

Thank you to all clients who supported me in 2017 and I look forward to working with you in 2018. To those reading this and interested in working with me in 2018 please make contact and I will be delighted to discuss your requirements and ambitions.

Have a great year ahead !
