The Tattersalls Guineas breeze-up sale proved another frustrating affair as I underbid no less than 4 horses but did come away with what will hopefully prove a bargain. Lot 154 was a Lawman filly who breezed both well to the eye and fast on the clock and came well recommended by her trainer Mark Dwyer and I managed to purchase her for just 9,000gns on behalf of a client.
A 2nd foal out of a placed 2yo closely related to Royal Ascot winning juvenile Sander Camillo this filly looked well bought and when the vendor said ‘well done, you stole her !’ and then I was offered profit on the filly soon after it looked that way. Proof is in the pudding as they say and she will go to Richard Fahey and will hopefully be able to show up well in maiden auction races over the coming weeks and months.
