With the yearling sales nearly over attention now turns to mating plans and nomination booking and I was so pleased last week when one of the results of my mating plans realised 500,000gns in the Tattersalls Book 2 sale. The yearling in question was an Exceed and Excel filly bred by Mick & Fiona Denniff who are based near Newark in Nottinghamshire and have approximately 12-15 mares. The filly enjoyed a fantastic update this year when her Paco Boy brother called Beat The Bank won a Group 3 at Goodwood and then a Group 2 at Newmarket.
