The sun was shining in Doncaster this week and Richard Knight returned home having purchased 2 Kodiac colts on behalf of trainer John Quinn. Both horses breezed well, clocking good times and came well recommended by their vendors.
The first colt was Lot 8 out of the unraced Redback mare Alpine River. The colt was the 2nd foal out of the mare and closely related to high-class 2yo Silver Wraith. He cost £16,000.
The second colt purchased was Lot 160 out of the 3-time listed placed performer Trombe. Trombe herself is dam of 6 winners from 7 runners including Italian Listed winner & Gr.3 placed performer Malikayah. The family goes back to French Champion racehorse Allez France. He cost £30,000.
The breeze-up sales circuit now moves back to Tattersalls in Newmarket for their Guineas breeze-up sale where the horses gallop on Thursday 28th April and sell on Friday 29th April.
