Moraawed who I purchased on behalf of a client for 28,000gns as a foal and re-sold as a yearling for £120,000 looks a horse to follow after his win at Sandown on 24th July. The son of Swiss Spirit was winning his 2nd race from just 7 starts and earnt himself a handicap mark of 91 after the comfortable win over Qaysar who subsequently bolted up by 4 1/2 lengths at Newbury on 6th August.
Moraawed is a great example of how lucrative pinhooking can be – I purchased him off Whitsbury Manor Stud as a foal and under the fantastic care and attention of Cooneen Stud during his yearling year he returned to the Goffs UK Premier sale looking like a real man of a horse – great size, strength and all the athleticism that he showed me as a foal which was what encouraged me to purchase him at that stage.
Congratulations to his owners Shadwell Stud, trainer Roger Varian and to Cooneen Stud on their care and preparation during his yearling year.
