To have a runner in a Classic is always a very exciting prospect and in 2015 Richard Knight was unlucky not to have had 2 runners in the 2000 Guineas until The Wow Signal injured himself during his final preparations and had to be withdrawn.
This left Richard with his foal purchase Bossy Guest representing him and what a great run he produced. Held up at the back of the field in order that he got the distance, he quickened very smartly at the business end of the race and stayed on for a superb 4th place beaten just 3 1/2 lengths.
Bossy Guest was purchased by Richard for €70,000 as a foal and has now won nearly £200,000 in prize-money and his value today is likely to be in excess of £500,000.
Bossy Guest will now head to Royal Ascot for the Gr.3 Jersey Stakes which is run over 7f on the first day of the Royal meeting.
