Having returned from Goffs in Ireland the Yearling Sales calendar moves on to Newmarket and the Tattersalls Book 1 Sale (6-8 October) which this year features the £25,000 Bonus. What this means is if your 2015 October Book 1 graduate wins a Class 2, 3 or 4 two year old maiden in the UK or an ‘Open’ 2-year-old maiden in Ireland the Owner will receive a £25,000 Bonus. The entry fee is £1,000 payable by 1st March 2016.
Edmond Mahony of Tattersalls said ‘Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale will now not only be an owner’s best chance of buying a European Classic winner, but also probably the only chance for an owner to buy a horse which could pay for a year’s training fees by winning a maiden.’
The sale consists of 513 Lots sold on Tuesday 6th, Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th October and includes progeny by sires including Frankel, Galileo and Dubawi.
Bossy Guest (pictured below) who was placed in the 2015 2000 Guineas Gr.1 & Won the Tattersalls Millions 3-year-old sprint was a graduate of the Tattersalls Book 1 Yearling Sale.
